TABLE TENNIS

B GRADE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Table tennis players are again reminded of the B grade Wairarapa championships to be held tonight at the Mo-Katoa Scout Den, Dixon Street. Play will commence promptly at 7 p.m. Now that the A grade competitions are finished everyone is looking forward eagerly for the results of the junior competition. The secretary reports that a large number of entries have come to hand, more than have been received for many years, and competition for the titles should be very keen. In the men’s section, T. McNamara, A. McLeod, J. Saba and B. Dick (Featherston); J. Gill and E. Bellis (Social Security); K. Woollett. and R. Elandcock (Post Office); N. Leadley, J. Daniell, D. Perrin, J. McGrath (Winter Sports Club); and P. Beals, R. Falconer (Catholic Club); A. Cruickshank and T. Potangaroa (Kuripuni), are all first class players, and the singles title could be won by any one of these.
