BOY SCOUTS PROGRESS OF MOVEMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) With the recent arrival in town of Scoutmasters C. R. Foreman and J. McTavish (Ngaio), the Boy Scout move- , ment has received a decided fllip, and is gradually gaining ground. On Tuesday night an impromptu concert was given at which the Cubs and Girl Guides were the guests. Several parents and visitors were also present. A happy time was spent in community singing led by Scoutmaster McTavish, and musical items, hakas, and other amusements. A talk on the interior of Fiji by Scoutmaster Foreman, who spent some years in those parts, was greatly appreciated. Supper was provided by the Scouts and helpers. CAMPING GROUND PREPARED AT CONSIDINE PARK. With the completion of the Centennial Baths, a camping ground is being prepared at the Considine Park, Martinborough. The camping site and roadin g was pegged out on Saturday. The formation of the road was started at the beginning of the week, and has been finished with the exception of the metalling, which will be done straight away. The necessary requirements of the health authorities are being carried out, and in addition a shed fitted with electric penny-in-slot boxes is to be provided for the convenience of campers, with hand basin, sink, and wash-tubs. The ground will be ready for visitors in two weeks. A donation of £5O has been received by the Borough Council from the Wairarapa Automobile Association for the purpose of carrying out impovements on the ground. Space for about 74 campers has been arranged. Hockey. A team frcm the Wairarapa College will play the Martinborough ladies’ team on Saturday afternoon.
