FEATHERSTON
GOLF LADIES’ BCGEY COMPETITION. ("Times-Age” Special.) A bogey competition was played by the ladies of the Featherston Golf Club yesterday. The result was as follow: Mrs J. B. Davis 1; Mrs McCarthy and Miss M. Ruane equal 2; Mrs Donald and Miss Williams equal 3. The final of the bogey competition was won by Mrs McCarthy; the stableford by Miss Ruane, the senior championship by Mrs Marshall (runner up. Miss M. Ruane), and the junior championship by Mrs J. B. Davis (runner up, Mrs McCarthy). RED CROSS* SOCIETY ENJOYABLE GATHERING. — • The Red Cross Society's card tournament yesterday was well attended and an enjoyable time was spent. Mrs A. Donald was the winner of the bridge and Mrs Jeffrey was successful in the 500. Mesdames Feast, Kilsby and Wakely were the hostesses. Card Party and Dance. A successful 500 card party and dance was held at Pahautea on Tuesday night, there being a good attendance. Mr Elbe was M.C.. and Mr Boyd supplied the music. The winners in the card tournament were: Ladies, Mrs Foster 1, Mrs Elbe 2; men, Mr Bentley 1, Mr Cade 2. Personal. Mrs M. V. Reid. Wellington, is visiting relatives for a few days.
