KAIPARORO

TENNIS SEASON COMMITEE ELECTED. (“Times-Age" Special.) At a recent meeting of tennis enthusiasts in Kaiparoro, arrangements were made for the 1940-41 season. A committee of nine was elected, with Miss B. M. Gallagher as secretary, and Mr R. Dick as club captain. A very generous offer from Messrs G. H. Perry and Co., of Masterton, was received, and is much appreciated by the Club, which recorded its sincere thanks in connection therewith. This firm has made a donation of sufficient grass seed to sow the parking area opposite the tennis courts. It was decided to open the season on Sunday. October 13, when a yankee tournament will be played.
