KAI TORA GIRLS’ CLUB A SUCCESSFUL DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kai Tora Girls’ Club held another successful dance in the Odd Fellows’ Hall last night. Visitors were present from all over the Wairarapa as well as a party of soldiers from the Tauherenikau Camp. Messrs V. Boyd and S. Te Tau supplied the music, and extras were played by Miss Lola Hopkins and Mr T. Drysdale. Miss L. Sugrue won the box of chocolates donated by Mr Woodley, and Mr J. O'Brien and Miss D. Rogers won the Monte Carlo dance. BOY SCOUTS FIREMAN’S BADGE COURSE. Last evening six of the senior mem- ’ bers of the Greytown Boy Scouts attended at the fire station and commeni ced a course for their Fireman’s Badge. -. Superintendent J. Wood expressed his 5 satisfaction at the keenness shown by • the boys. At the end of three months they will be put through the test reS- \ quired by the Scout Manual. df/ ’ — -> Personal Items. Mr E. G. Harrison left Greytown yes- . terday to report for duty with the coas- / tai defence units at Wellington. Mr R. Page has resumed his duties t at the Bank of New Zealand.
