PAHIATUA SALE. KEEN BIDDING. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their Pahiatua sale yesterday:—A good yarding of dairy stock, and a small offering of sheep, with a capacity yarding of pigs were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Keen bidding was experienced in all departments, and particularly with dairy stock showing quality. Quotations: — Dairy stock: Heifers close to calving (good). £l3 15s, £l3 10s, £l3 to £l2 10s; heifers (calved), £l3 10s, £l3, £ll 10s to £lO 15s; dairy cows (calved). £l4 to £l3, £l2; later calvers, £lO 10s, £9 to £8; yearling Jersey heifers, £6 to £5 16s; 2-yr. empty . heifers (Jersey), £6 Is. Fat ewes, 32s to 295; light fat wethers, 295; ewe hoggets (medium), 27s 3d; small wether hoggets, 22s Cd. Pigs: Weaners (good), 35s 6d; medium sorts, _ 26s 6d, 255, 24s 6d to 21s; store pigs (small), 30s 6d.
