Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington market this week are reported as follows: — Lemons: Meyes, 12s to 16s a halfcase. Tomatoes: Hothouse, Is lOd to 2s 7d a lb; tree tomatoes, 8s to Ils 3d a halfcase. Grapefruit, New Zealand, 9s to 13s a case. Asparagus: Is 2d to Is 6d a bunch; cucumbers, hothouse, 7s to 14s a dozen. Green peas, lOd to Is Ijd a lb; new potatoes, 31d to 4Jd a lb. Potatoes: 4s to 6s 6d a cwt; onions 7s to 15s a cental bag; kumeras, 8s to :12s a sugar bag. Cabbage: Is to 4s a sack; ditto, spring, 6d to 4s 3d a case; lettuce, choice, 6s to 12s 6d, others, Is to 5s a case; sprouts, 16s to 22s a case; cauliflowers, 2s 6d to 13s a sack; silver beet, 6d to 2s a case; spinach, 2s 6d to 8s 6d a case; pumpkins, 17s to 30s a sack. Carrots: 2s to 5s a case; swedes, Is 6d to 5s a case; parsnips, Is 6d to 3s a case; beetroot. 2s to 5s 6d a case; leeks, Is to 3s 6d a case; celery, choice, 6s to 11s a case; rhubarb, 6s to 16s a dozen bunches.
