The Ain Ministry told the Associated Press Association that from the outbreak of war to September 3, verified German air losses to all campaigns except Poland totalled 3260. It is believed that this number would be nearly doubled if planes badly damaged and not likely to reach their bases were added. British losses everywhere, except in the Middle East were 1045 planes. Germany since the outbreak of war to September 3, has lost 1500 bombers and fighters in attacks against Britain, 1460 of there since June 18 last. British losses in the Battle for Britain have been 369 fighters, but 175 of the pilots were saved. Italy from her entry into the war on June 10 last to August 31, had lost 131 planes probably 200 with the destruction of grounded planes. In the Middle East, to August 31, Britain had lost 30 planes.
