R.A.F. BENEVOLENT FUND

QUARTER OF A MILLION. FOR DEPENDENTS OF AIRMEN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) RUGBY, September 4. Lord Nuffield has handed a cheque for £250,000 to the chairman of the council of the R.A.F. Benevolent Fund, with which to found a fund to be known as the Nuffield Endowment. The money is to be invested and the interest applied to the relief of all forms of distress amongst dependents of R.A.F. personnel killed or incapacitated as a result of wounds received in action.
