SKETCH CLUB

MEETING IN MASTERTON YESTERDAY. RESIGNATION OF SECRETARY. At a meeting of the Masterton Sketch Club held in the club rooms, Bannister Street, yesterday afternoon, regret was expressed by members at the resignation of the secretary, Mrs Vowell. Appreciative reference was made to her work, and as a token of esteem she was presented with a posy of spring flowers. Mrs E. Shaw was elected secretary. It was decided to hold the annual exhibition on October 9. It was stated that if sufficient space were available on the walls pictures accepted at the Centennial Exhibition would be shown. Two local artists are to be invited to show their work early in the New Year.
