OBITUARY
MRS MARIAN ANNE WARD. The death occurred this morning of Mrs Marian Anne Ward, of 20 Wrigley Street, Masterton. The late Mrs Ward, who was 83 years of age, had lived in Masterton all her life. She was the wife of Mr John Frederick Ward, a well-known resident of Masterton.
The late Mrs Ward, who was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William Bennett, of Fernglen, had been an invalid for some years. In her younger days she was a noted horsewoman. Besides her husband, one son, Mr Robert Ward and one daughter, Mrs E. Ryan, all of Masterton, she is survived by two brothers, Messrs Harold and Donald Bennett and two sisters, Mrs Cripps and Miss Helen Bennett, of Masterton. There are two grandchildren. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, following a service to be held at 2.30 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
