LORRIES & PETROL

ITALIANS SUFFER HEAVY LOSS.

SUCCESSFUL R.A.F. ATTACK ON MOGADISHU.

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright)

(Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 1

“The Times" Nairobi correspondent says the latest reports of the attack on Mogadishu, cabled on August 30, show that the Italians had collected at least a thousand motor-lorries in one park. These vehicles were almost completely destroyed. Pilots believe that black clouds of smoke and a rapid extension of the fire indicated that the lorries were fully fuelled. Italy therefore in addition, lost thousands of gallons of petrol.
