BRITAIN’S CATTLE
RECORD NUMBERS REACHED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. August 29. Britain’s cattle population is estimated at 6.800,000. This is the highest figure ever reached, and it is noteworthy that it has been attained at a time when the importance of the South African market to Britain is emphasised by the fact that during the period January-June the United Kingdom exported £3,000,000 worth more to South Africa than during the corresponding period last year.
