WAR CONTRIBUTIONS
ACKNOWLEDGED GRATEFULLY IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 9.15 a.m.) RUGBY. August 30. Britain has gratefully acknowledged a gift of £lB.OOO from Northern Rhodesia for the "Speeding the Planes Fund.”
A further contribution of £lO.OOO has been received from Trinidad for the purchase of aircraft and a further gift of £6OO from the "Help the War Committee" at the Seychelles, which had previously remitted £2,000.
