N.Z. TOURNAMENT K CUP COMPETITION. WAIRARAPA DEFEATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. August 27. Third round matches for the K Cup in the New Zealand women's hockey championship tournament resulted: — Section A: Auckland B 1 (Miss Bilkey), Akitio 1 (Miss Berry); Ashburton 5 (Misses Henderson 3. M. Donaldson and J. Harris), Marlborough 0; Wellington a bye. Section B: Auckland A 3 (Misses Spring 2, and Dunning). Rangitikei 1 (Mrs Hammond); Canterbury 4 (Misses Dickey 2, Cross 2), Wairarapa 0; Wanganui a bye. MEN’S GAME BURGESS—COLE CUP. MATCH AWARDED TO WESLEY. In connection with the Burgess-Cole Cup competition the Wesley Juniors have been awarded the match against Carterton, played last Saturday, owing to Carterton having included a senior player in its team. In the circumstances Wesley will now play Greytown at Carterton on Saturday. The time and umpires will remain as published yesterday.
