CARD TOURNAMENT

LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS.

(‘‘Times-Age" Special.)

The prizes for the card party on Saturday evening were picture passes, again donated by Mr and Mrs Foreman. The winners of these were: — Ladies, Mrs E. Hutchings 1 and Mrs W. Algie 2. Men, Messrs Espiner and Godinagh, first equal. Mrs Hutchings and Mr Espiner donated their prizes for sale.

The competition for a bedspread made and donated by Mrs Hall was won by Mr F. Johnson. A turkey, given by Mr J. Parsonson, was won by a visitor from Nelson who put it up for auction, the final purchaser being Mrs Didsbury. Mr L. Algie won the sack of carrots given by Mr R. Payne, and has handed them back to be sold at the next card party. The aggregate prizes were won by Mrs Hutchings and Mr E. Seymour, and the consolation prizes by Mrs V. Payne and Rex Rolls. The aggregate prizes were donated by Mesdames Hall, W. Rolls, A. Weston and R. Low. The sum of £lO 12s was realised during the evening.

Personal. Miss D. Falconer has been staying with Mrs J. Hartley.
