FAREWELL GATHERING A POPULAR RESIDENT. (■‘Times-Age'' Special.) At the invitation of Miss Scrimegour, the ladies of the district assembled al Tauanui on Friday for the purpose of bidding farewell to Mrs W. Innes, who with her husband and child, will shortly leave to take up their residence al Bideford. The guest, who is very popular in the district, was presented with a small token of esteem accompanied by the wish that happiness and prosperity would go with the family in their new home. The presentations were made by Miss Hanlon. Afternoon tea was partaken of and Miss Scrimegour was complimented on her forethought in arranging the party. Mr and Mrs Innes leave for their new home at the end of the month. Personal Items. Miss Christina Enoka, Dannevirke, is spending the school vacation with her parents. Mr W. Hodges, of Wellington, was a weekend visitor to this district. Mr and Mrs Thompson, Huntly, have been visiting relatives here. Mrs H. Hume, Masterton, is the guest of Mr and Mrs Trevor Hume. Mrs Murphy and her family have returned to Masterton. Mr and Mrs J. Riwai were recent visitors to Wellington. Mrs Niko Hemi and Mr and Mrs W. Hemi, T’ologa Bay, are the guests of Mrs W. Enoka.
