GOLF COMPETITIONS RESULTS OF SATURDAY'S PLAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The best cards in an eclectic handicap played on Saturday were: — Senior: J. Wall 38, 8, 30; I. Charles 36. 5 31. Junior: A. O. Pike 41, 12, 29; L. Speedy 43. 11, 32. Points scored in the Campbell Sievers Memorial Cup were: A. O. Pike 3, J. Wall 2. I. Charles 1. Those leading in this competition are: A. F. Harding 8 points; L. Chapman 74 points; L. Speedy 61 points, E. Sadd 5 points. The best, cards in a flag competition on Saturday were handed in by Mrs Knutson, Mrs Baker, and Miss Harvey. A request has been received from the Ladies’ Golf Union that each member donate the sum of Is to go towards the cost of a fighter aeroplane.’
Donations to Patriotic Fund. The Kahunui Mutual Improvement Committee and Green and Gold Ball Committee made a profit on the ball last week of £24 18s. To this they added £5 2s, and forwarded £3O to the Provincial Patriotic Fund. The thanks of the Patriotic Committee has been expressed in connection with the donation.
