FEATHERSTON
SOLDIERS’ DANCE ("Times-Age" Special.) The soldiers’ dance which was held in the Anzac Hall on Saturday was not as well attended as usual. However, the dance was a success, and an enjoyable time was spent by those present. Miss Card and Mrs G. S. Sharp were the hostesses. The Featherston ladies were in charge of the supper arrangements. Shortage of Water. A visitor from Otaki states that the water shortage in that district is acute, many dairy farmers having to cart water. St. John’s Ladies’ Guild. The St. John Ladies’ Guild “bring and buy” stall resulted in the sum of £l6 16s being obtained. This amount will be divided between the Wellington City Mission and St. Mary's Home. Personal. Mrs McClellan, of Thames, is visiting her mother, Mrs R. Charles, Hayward Street.
