EKETAHUNA

MOTHERS’ UNION

MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS ("Times-Age" Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Mothers' Union held in the Anglican school room there was an excellent attendance of members. Mrs L. Ives presided. Before the business of the meeting was commenced the Rev L. Ives conducted a short service in the church.

The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs Cleghorn, of Masterton who gave a most interesting talk on her experiences in Poland. Mrs Cleghorn was accorded a hearty vote of thanks by acclamation at the conclusion of her address

Mrs B. Olsen rendered several Maori songs and was warmly applauded. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses. Mesdames A. H. Gray, H. Higginson. E. D. Toohill, G. Tolley and Murray-Ansley.

Personal Items. Mrs L. Ives and family are at present visiting Masterton. Mrs E. Anderson, Masterton, is the guest of Mrs R. Dickson, High Street. Mr B. Dinnan is at present confined to his home as the result of a severe attack of influenza.

Mrs C. Wyeth, Parkville is visiting Wellington. Mr Len Collett, Rongomai, has returned home from a holiday spent in Wellington and Levin.
