FEATHERSTON

SCHOOL ASSOCIATION EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Home and School Association’s Euchre party in the Anzac Hall there was a large attendance. The prizewinners were-Mrs Watson and Mi- Edwards. Women’s Division. At the monthly meeting of the Pahautea branch of tlie Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, Mrs Farquhar presided over a fair attendance of members. The competitions were won as follow: —Best joke, Mrs Farquhar; best bloom, Mrs Connell and Mrs Farquhar. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Sadler and McKay. Personal Items. The many friends of Mr W. A. Ross of Pahautea will regret to learn that he is laid aside with illness. Mi- and Mrs Frank Stairmond, Mr and Mrs Newman, Mrs Thwaites, Mr Black (Wellington), and Mrs and Miss Smith -(Tauranga), are - the guests of Mrs J. A. Juno, Pahautea. Mrs S. Raper left yesterday for Otaki, where she will be the guest of Mrs Stanley Geange.
