ORDER OF DRUIDS
STONEHENGE LODGE. QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly summoned meeting of the Stonehenge Lodge of Druids was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night, the A.D., Bro. A. N. Hearle presiding over a good attendance of brethren. Prior to the commencement, of business the lodge adjourned for a few minutes as a mark of respect to Bros. H. Dale and J. Ackerman in their recent bereavements. The secretary was instructed to convey the lodge’s sympathy to the brethren concerned. The lodge decided to support the proposal that no Grand Lodge Conference be held until March. 1943. Sister Shackleton notified the lodge that she would be leaving Masterton shortly. It was decided to write to Sister Shackleton, thanking her for her services to the lodge over a number of years. A report was received concerning a recent meeting of the U.F.S. Dispensary Board. The secretary reported that 14 brethren had declared on the sick benefit of the. lodge, and all were reported to be progressing favourably. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £3B 10s were passed for payment. At the conclusion of lodge business an enjoyable social was held.
