GOLF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. ("Times-Age” Special.) The first round of the Captain's Trophy (eclectic) resulted as follows: — H. Bloxam 1, J. McCallum 2, I. Donald 3. The following are the semi-finalists in the club championships:— Senior, W. Rowles vK. Allen, W. Taylor v G. C’Neale. Junior: I. Donald v L. Benton, A. Hoby v J. W. Card. The handicap competition will commence next Saturday, and the following is the draw: H. Bloxam (bye), R. Donald v H. McCarty, J. McCallum v M. Benton, J. Davis v J. Willett, T. Lang v H. Neilson. W. Jeffrey (bye), A. White v H. Lawson, D. Howells (bye). Euchre Party and Dance. The euchre party and dance held in Pahautea Hall on Saturday night was fairly well attended. The winners of the euchre were: Ladies. Miss I. Frew I. Mrs Morgan 2; men, Mr Thomas 1, Mr Riki 2. Personal Items. Mrs Morgan, Lower Hutt, is visiting Mrs Elbe, Pahautea. Mrs S. Brooker is visiting her mother, Mrs J. Mutter, for the holidays. Patriotic Effort. Six packages were forwarded to the Headquarters of the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild by the local branch yesterday.
