SESSION BUSINESS
PARLIAMENT RESUMING TOMORROW.
, (By Telegi’aph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The House of Representatives will meet again tomorrow for the continuation of the Parliamentary session, following an adjournment of three weeks. Though the duration of this part of the session is likely to be determined in the main by the amount of legislation requiring attention, the general impression in political quarters is that it will be relatively brief. Two measures due for early introduction, probably tomorrow, are a Statutes Amendment Bill and a Thames Borough Commissioner Amendment Bill. There will possibly be a Health Amendment Bill also. The usual “washing-up” Bills, the Local Legislation Bill and the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill, may be introduced. A second Finance Bill is to be introduced, but it cannot be said when this measure will make its appearance.
Should members desire another secret session in order to hear and discuss the latest developments in connection with New Zealand’s war effort this will probably be held on Thursday.
