MOUNTED RIFLES

EXAMINATION AND PARADE. The medical examination of C. Squadron, Wellington-East Coast Mounted Rifles and the balance of the volunteers for overseas service was held in the Masterton Drill Hall this morning. The provision of hot soup by the Ladies’ Patriotic Committee was much appreciated, as also was the work of the St John Ambulance officers. The Moupted Rifles are holding a full day parade at the Park. Officers and N.C.O’s. will attend a short course of intensive training at Wanganui on August 15.
