BASKETBALL
COLLEGE TOURNAMENT. WIN FOR WELLINGTON EAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, August 2. The annual quadrangular basketball tournament between Hutt Valley High School, Wairarapa College. Wellington East Girls’ College, and Dannevirke High School, played today, was won by Wellington East. In the first round Wellington East beat Hutt Valley 23-12, and Dannevirke beat Wairarapa 18-13. In the loser v. loser match, Hutt Valley beat Wairarapa 19-12. Wellington East beat Dannevirke 24-15 in the final.
