A list of those donors who contribut- - ed to the fund as a result of the canl, vass of the district may be inspected I- at the County Council Chambers. In t this connection, it was stated at the - meeting that a considerable sum had 1 also been contributed by residents of • the Akitio County direct to the Cen- - tral Fund and to funds of neighbouring ■ towns before the local appeal was commenced. The commiottee wishes to thank all those who assisted in connection with the appeal, which resulted in such an excellent response, in view of the fact that the local appeal was not commenced until one month before the official closing date.
