CHURCH OF THE EPIPHANY

LADIES’ GUILD. ENJOYABLE SOCIAL. A very enjoyable social was held in the Epiphany Hall on Tuesday evening under the auspices of the Church of the Epiphany Ladies’ Guild. The time was spent in playing games which interspersed the items on the musical part of the programme. Those who contributed, items included Mrs W. G. Perry (pianoforte solos), Mrs Moss, Mr Frank Thornton and the Rev T. V. Pearsen, who gave vocal solos. A competition was won by Miss McCarter and the games by Mrs W. Richter and. Miss McCarter. A cake which had been donated by Mrs Dalrymple was won by Mr Sing Sui. The ladies of the Guild provided supper which was much appreciated. At a convenient interval the Vicar, Archdeacon E. JI. Rich, expressed the thanks of the parishioners to those who had helped to make the social the success it was. Mrs W. G. Perry was an excellent accompanist for the soloists, and for the games and dances.
