R.A.F. AWARDS
TWO OVERSEAS OFFICERS DECORATED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) RUGBY, July 14. The latest list of awards to members of the R.A.F. contains the names of two officers from the Dominions. Flight-Lieutenant Pitficld, who is awarded the D.F.C.. was a cadet of the Royal Australian Air Force before he joined the R.A.F. in 1936. His home is in Hobart, Tasmania. The other is Flying-Officer Vernon, who was commissioned in the R.A.F. in 1938.
