BICYCLE RACKS

INVESTIGATIONS IN MASTERTON. The Masterton Borough authorities are going into the matter of providing bicycle racks in Queen Street. As a start, a rack has been installed in front of the State Theatre. The fitting is quite a simple one and allows a bicycle to be stood against the kerb without dangeF of falling over. Other racks are to be installed in other parts of the town for trial purposes and if these prove satisfactory, no doubt they will be adopted generally. For some time past motorists apd others have complained about the congestion of bicycles in Queen Street, which interfere with street and pedestrian traffic.
