Mrs McKenzie v Mrs Stewart Mrs Carter v Mrs Thomas. Personal Items. Mr T. Sargent, who will shortly enter camp, is visiting relatives at Dannevirke. Miss N. Ahipene. who was the guest of Mrs Tikao, has returned to Featherston. Among those who will shortly enter camp for military service is Mr All Grigg. Mr J. McDonald has returned- from a short visit to Dannevirke. Elders Lynn. Hall. Maw and Later are visiting this district. The latter will leave for his home in America at the end of the month. Mr E. Taurau has been visiting friends in the Dannevirke district. Mr G. Haligan is visiting relatives in Christchurch. Mrs Henry McMaster is a visitor to Wellington. Enjoyable Social. The Mutual Improvement Association held its first social on Tuesday when a bright and varied programme was given. There was a good attendance and an enjoyable time was spent. It is proposed to hold weekly socials in the Kohunui meeting house. Green & Gold Ball. Owing to the dates fixed for the above function (August 21) clashing with another function of a similar nature, the committee has deemed it necessary to alter the date. It has also been decided not to run, a queen con-, test in connection with the ball. This step was taken owing to the difficulty in getting candidates.
