YOUNG FARMERS’ DANCE
AN OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. GATHERING IN MASTERTON LAST NIGHT. A dance in aid of the local Red Cross fund (for normal activities) organised by the Masterton Young Farmers' Club and held in the Masonic Hall last nigh' was an outstanding success. The floor was rather crowded at times when all the patrons danced to music supplied by Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys. Capably organised, the dance was a credit to the club and all concerned. Mr D. McGregor was an efficient M.C. The Monte Carlo waltz, competition was won by Miss Valerie Keith and Mr A. G. P. Saunders. A feature of the dance was the supper served by a combined committee. An enjoyable gathering was brought to a close in the early hours of this morning with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
