LIMITS ON PUBLICATION IN BRITAIN NECESSARY SAFEGUARDS. AGAINST DISCLOSURES TO ENEMY. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, July 3. The Lord Privy Seal (Mr C. R. Attlee) in the House of Commons, said the Government was not prepared to guarantee non-interference with the publication by the Press of certain expressions of opinion. It must be recognised that statements could be published in the guise of opinion which would disclose information to the enemy, or impede the war effort by weakening public resolution.
