ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH

LADIES’ GUILD. KNITTING CIRC&E BUSY. The weekly meeting of St Matthew’s Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs E. J. Rich presided over a large attendance of members. It was reported that the knitting circle had been busy knitting mittens and a number of pairs were handed in. It was decided to hold a shilling afternoon on Thursday, July 11, at 2.30 p.m. Mrs M. Cleghorn is to be asked to speak at the meeting. The Guild members were asked to bring a cake' of soap or any other article suitable to be included in the soldiers’ parcels. The serving of afternoon tea brought the meeting to a close.
