WEDDING

TURNBULL—GALYER. A very pretty wedding took place recently at Knox Church, Masterton, when Edith, second daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Galyer, Patea, was married to Kenneth John, second son of Mr and Mrs D. W. Turnbull, Masterton. The officiating minister was the Rev John Davie. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr G. Merwood, wore a gown of ivory magnolia satin, her veil being of net and held in place with a halo of orange blossom and fell into folds to form a train. Her bouquet was of orchids and lilies with touches of fern. The bridesmaids were Misses Gwen Crawley (chief), M. Parr (who were dressed alike in frocks of blue crepe). G. Turnbull and G. Bennett (who were attired in frocks of shell pink crepe). All wore halos of silver leaves and forget-me-not. Their bouquets were composed of pink carnations and sweetpeas. Mr S. M. Turnbull was best man, Mr R. Galyer groomsman and Messrs E. Bennett and I. Gray were ushers. The reception was held at the Orange Hall, where the guests were received by Mr and Mrs Turnbull. When Mr and Mrs Turnbull loft on their honeymoon the bride wore a sky blue frock with nigger brown coat, brown hat, gloves and shoes, with handbag to tone. The future- home of Mr and Mrs Turnbull will be in Masterton.
