COERCION OF POLITICAL PARTIES ATTEMPT TO SET ASIDE KING. UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTION DENOUNCED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 12.45 p.m.) LONDON. June 25. Professor Koht (Norwegian Foreign Minister), broadcasting, stated that the Norwegian Government had received reports from Oslo that the Germans had forced representatives of different parties in Oslo to consent to a plan under which King Haakon will be deprived of his constitutional functions, the Prime Minister dismissed and a council established to take over the functions of the King and Government. Professor Koht stated that there was no constitutional body authorised to replace the Storting and that King Haakon remains the constitutional King of Norway. King Haakon and his Government would continue to do their duly towards Norway, Professor Kohl concluded.
