VALUABLE WORK
LEAGUE FOR RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF SOLDIERS. APPRECIATION EXPRESSED BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) J r , WELLINGTON. This Day. The Government's appreciation of the valuable work being performed by the Soldiers' Civil Re-establishrnent League was conveyed to the league by the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) at the sixth annual meeting of the organisation. Mr Jones said he hoped members would continue their activities, since there would be much important work to do in years to come. Th.ose responsible lor forming the league must be very gratified with what had been accomplished over years. If they could plan ahead for men who might be brought back disabled or sick, so much the better. The Government had set up a committee which so far was only departmental and a very valuable report had been submitted to the Government. The intention, however, was to have the whole question of the repatriation and rehabilitation of men examined, and he understood that, the Prime Minister had agreed to make the organisation as representative as possible.
