GOLF CLUB WEEKEND COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The fourth round for the trophy competition of the local Golf Club was played over the weekend, Mrs Schofield returning the best card for the ladies with 64 net and R. Weston handed in the best card for the men with a similar score. Mrs McGregor withstood a challenge from Mrs Foreman for the Kummeistein Cup, and A. McGregor defeated E. Nitz in a Nimmo Cup match. On the next playing day Mrs McGregor will meet Mrs Nitz and A. McGregor will play J. Bannister. The following have had their handicaps reduced: Mrs McKinstry. 25/19, Miss Bannister, 25/19. and R. Weston j/4. On June 30 a match will be played with- Stronvar on the Wainui-o-ru links, commencing at 10 a.m. Any player who is unable to make the trip is requested to notify the club captain as soon as possible. On July 7 an open day will be held on the Tyneside links, when the Tc Wharau and Tyneside Clubs will make a combined effort to raise funds ior the Red Cross movement.
