REQUEST TO HITLER
EXCLUSION OF GERMANS FROM BORDEAUX. (Received This Day. 9.25 a.m.) BORDEAUX, June 23. In response to an urgent request, Herr Hitler has given an assurance to Marshal Petain that German troops will not enter Bordeaux while the French-Italian negotiations are proceeding. M. Laval has been appointed vicePremier and M. Marquet a member of the Cabinet without portfolio.
