SAUSAGE TOAST

PUT IT ON THE BREAKFAST MENU. Boil 1 lb pork or beef sausages and allow to cool. Now skin and cut into dice. Melt 1 tablespoon butter or good margarine in a saucepan, add 1 tablespoon flour, cook a little, then add 1 cup milk, pepper, and salt. Stir over a low gas until it thickens, simmer for 5 minutes, then add diced sausage, a little grated nutmeg, and 1 teaspoon chopped parsley. Pile on well-butter-ed toast, sprinkle with friend shredded bacon, and serve at once.-
