WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT TIRAUMEA. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the June meeting of the Tiraumea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union when Mrs A. C. P. Hay presided. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs C. Wright and Miss E. Wallis. Each member brought a face cloth, and these are to be sent to the soldiers. The competition for senior members was won by Mrs Harman Junr., with Mrs Hansen and Mrs Harman Senr. second. The junior competition was won by Miss D. Hart, Miss N. Wallis being second. Barbara Harman held the lucky number for the wandering shilling. A yellow chrysanthemum, entered by Mrs E. Lindergeen carried off the prize for the best bloom. Miss E. Wallis was second with a French marigold. A very enjoyable gathering was brought to a close by the singing of the National Anthem. TINUI BRANCH MEETS. ADOPTION OF ENGLISH CHILDREN.
