DUKE OF WINDSOR
REPORTED RESIGNATION DENIED. NOW VISITING FRENCH TROOPS ON ITALIAN BORDER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, June 8. The Duke of Windsor has informed Reuters that reports that he has relinquished his post as liaison officer to the French and British armies in France are wholly inaccurate. The Ministry of Information states: “There is no foundation for the report that the Duke of Windsor has resigned his military appointment. He is paying a visit to the French troops on the Italian border and will shortly return to the headquarters of the mission to which he is attached.”
