Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 68.1 degrees on 3rd (70.3); absolute shade minimum, 26.1 degrees on 31st (27.2). Thus the range was 42 (43.1). Mean temperature for the month, 47.2 (50.7). Absolute grass minimum, 17.8 on 31st (18.6) average grass minimum, 31.47 (33.6) average at one foot underground, 48.1 (50.9). Severest frost, 12.6 on night of 30th (11.8). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 15 (13); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., 5 (3); of gale, 3 (5). The total rainfall, 4.49 inches on 20 days (1.50); greatest fall, 149 points on 9th (38). Total sunshine, 125.3 hours (147.4); daily average, 4.04; sunniest day, 12th, 9.4 hours (9.6); wind run, 2545 miles (1787); average. 82.1.
