SAMOAN LOYALTY
DEMONSTRATION ON KING’S BIRTHDAY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. APIA, June 3. To celebrate the King's Birthday holiday a large number of white residents and Samoans assembled at the administration building this morning, when loyal and patriotic addresses were delivered by the Acting-Adminis-trator, Mr A. C. Turnbull, the Hon. O. F. Nelson, senior elected member of the Samoan Legislative Council, and the Hon. Tamasese Fautua, representing Samoan members of the Legislative Council, the Fono Faipule and the Samoan people. The Samoan defence force, Colonel W. Carrol Harley in command, returned soldiers and the Samoan police under Chief Inspector Braisby were inspected by the Acting-Administrator’. A very loyal demonstration terminated with the National Anthem and a Royal Salute of 21 guns.
