AMERICAN SECURITY

VARIOUS PROPOSALS CHAIN OF AERODROMES SUGGESTED. CANADA TO PATAGONIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 4. The Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull) sent a letter to the House Foreign Affairs Committee expressing unqualified support for Mr Bloom’s resolution, providing for non-recognition of any transfer of territory in the Western Hemisphere between non-Ameri-can Powers. i Mr Fish told’ the Press that he proposed that the United States should negotiate agreements for the establishment of “Monroe Doctrine airports” in each of the twenty other American countries, for emergency use if required as a result of invasion in the hemisphere. He said air bases throughout and observation flights, which might effectively discourage the Trojan horse technique, ought to be situated all the way from Canada to Patagonia, with planes and ground crews. Mr Snyder has introduced a Bill in the House directing the Attorney-Gen-| eral to establish as many observation | posts as necessary to keep the entire Mexican border under observation, day and night, to prevent the illegal entry of aliens by land or plane.
