The Rome radio announced that King Leopold had arrived at a royal palace at Laeken. Hitler ordered that King Leopold be received v. ith the honour due to a sovereign. A Paris message says that King Leopold is now at V ynendael Castle, near Bruges. He is virtually a prisoner not allowed outside the grounds, A committee comprising leading Belgian professors issued a manifesto condemning King Leopolds abominable treason” and proclaiming support for the Belgian Government's continuance of the struggle on the side of the Allies.
