OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
DEFENCE TRAINING <S (To the Editor) Sir—ln regard to our defence measures in New Zealand. Mr Fraser staled that the Territorials and National Reserve would undergo intensive training for three to five months. I agree that, our forces need training on n scale such as that, but why the Territorials only? Surely there are youths in New 'Zealand who should go too. There are many lads in Masterton who could easily give up a few nights a week surely in times such as this. Why pass the brunt of our national defence on to the poor Territorials? Thanking vou for your space—l am, etc. KIA TOA. Masterton, June 3.
