GOLF COMPETITIONS IN AID OF PATRIOTIC FUND. (“Times-Age” Special.) It has been decided to hold an open golf day on Monday, June 3, the proceeds of which will be handed to the Patriotic. Fund. There will be a stableford combined with a medal round with a trophy for the winner of each competition. , There has been no competition play on the links during the last fortnight, but it is hoped to play the second round for the lady captain’s and president's trophies next weekend. Those who have had their handicaps reduced are Miss P. Schofield to 14/11 and W. N. Kummer 10/7. PATRIOTIC DANCE SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. A very successlul dance was held in the hall on Saturday evening, the function being organised by a committee of young ladies who must feel highly gratified with the result, as they are able to hand in almost £8 to the Patriotic Fund. Several competitions were held, the cake being won by Mr R. L. McKinstry and the apples by Miss S. Johnston.

Mr and Mrs I. McGregor won the statue waltz and the Monte Carlo was won by Miss S. Johnston and R McGovern. The duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr F. McKinstry.

The committee wish to thank Mrs I. McGregor and Mr R. L. McKinstry for providing the music and the ladies for supplying the supper.
