COURSING

■» V/AIRARAPA CLUB’S BIG MEETING. ENTRIES COMING IN FREELY. Nominations are coming ’to hand freely for the important meeting to be held at Akura Plumpton on Saturday and Monday, June 1 and 3, by the Wairarapa Coursing Club. Entries so far have been received from Hastings, Wanganui and Wellington, while local dogs will be well represented. In all probability two rounds in each of the four events will be run on Saturday, and on Monday the semi-finals and finals will be decided, as well as a consolation stake. Good coursing is assured as the hares have received a thorough preparation and are in particularly vigorous condition.

The draw takes place in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Prior to this, the executive will meet at 7 o’clock to attend to one or Iwo detail matters.
