R.S.A. MEETING CANCELLED. ASSURANCE FROM PRIME MINISTER. Following on receipt of a telegram from the New Zealand R.S.A. headquarters, Wellington, the meeting called by the Wairarapa R.S.A. for tomorrow night to urge the adoption of conscription has been cancelled. The telegram reads as follows: — “Headquarters has written assurance from the Prime Minister that the Association’s request ’ for compulsory universal national service, civil, military and financial, will be given effect to when Parliament meets.”
